Professor X, Cerebro

This is my take and fan art appreciation of Cerebro, the helmet and computer Professor X wears. Specifically the version we currently see in the Krakoan era X-Men. This was a short project that was fun but gave me it's fair share of challenges as well. There is limited concept or reference for the back of the helmet, so I had to take a lot of creative liberties and problem solve the balance of shape language plausible functionality. What's the balance of simple edge and line flow from the front and complex shapes and tech hardware on the back? For a lot of this process, I referenced Marco Plouffe and Keos Masons.

Watching his workflow and methodology gave me a better frame of reference on how to work on the fly and gain a comfort zone for discovery and shape language refinement. Hard surface may not be my primary skill set, but I do enjoy the level of detail and discipline it requires when it comes to perfecting edglflow and clean modeling. I hope you like the results.

I also used Marco Plouffe's alpha set sold on here for additional details. Great purchase. Highly recommend.
